A Family Legacy at Heritage Brewing Co.

Ryan Arroyo and his brother, Sean, started Heritage Brewing Co. in 2013 with the help of family and friends. They hand-built their headquarters in Manassas, VA, and always wanted a location to showcase their craft brews and coffee (Veritas Coffee Co.). Paired with great food, this combination was to exist in a setting that embodied their uniquely American take on "craft." Their newest location sits in the heart of Arlington, Virginia – right outside of Washington, D.C. – at our own Market Common Clarendon.

"Arlington is home to many of our fans and followers since we opened the doors to our main brewery," said Ryan Arroyo, Chief Marketing Director & Co-Founder of Heritage Brewing Co. When the Arroyos were ready to make the brewpub and roastery come to life, it seemed like the only logical location.

The Heritage team handcrafted almost everything inside the Clarendon brewpub, utilizing materials from their existing brewery wherever possible. With benches made from spent barrel staves used to age beers, to stripped pallet wood that carried their grains and hops, the team emphasized reuse of materials while also keeping atmospheric aesthetics in mind.

"They converted a space that was formerly a Mexican restaurant into a beautiful local attraction. We believe they will be a catalyst for the overall transformation of Market Common Clarendon."
