Get ready to shop, wine and dine Loudoun County residents, because in a few weeks Whole Foods Market at Regency Centers' Belmont Chase will open its doors. Whole Foods Market occupies 40,000 SF of retail space within the 91,109 SF center and provides the Ashburn, VA. community with quality products made within 100 miles of the store. Other unique offerings include an in-store pub serving local wine, beer and spirits and an indoor/outdoor cafe. According to Leesburg Today, Purcellville-based Catoctin Creek Distillery will supply the spirits. A collaboration with Old Ox Brewery bringing draft beer was also reported. Whole Foods Market is working on expanding this list with other local suppliers.

Once Whole Foods opens, this will start the trickle of openings for unique side-shops, best-in-class merchants like Floyd's 99 Barbershop, CAVA Mezze grill, PR Fresh Look Store, Coopers Hawk, The Habit Burger, Petco Unleashed, Peet's Coffee & Tea and many more.

Recently, The Washington Business Journal toured the center with Regency's Devin Corini, vice president of investments, and Jack DeVilliers, Regency's leasing investment manager. In the article published by staff reporter, Rebecca Cooper, Belmont Chase is described as Ashburn's newest swanky, industrial-chic, "...something out of a nouveau country estate," shopping center.

Regency hopes this sets Belmont apart from a lot of the “typical, Colonial-style” shopping centers in Loudoun, DeVilliers said.

“We had to step out of our bounds for design and go more towards the urban environment,” Corini said.

The article goes on to talk about the architectural treatment that tenants like Cava Grill, Chipotle, The Habit Burger and Peet's Coffee & Tea are getting that aligns with the center's brand and sets them apart. It also describes the water feature, wood pergolas and lighting and some of the inspirations for designing the center.

“Loudoun needs this,” said DeVilliers. “Needs places to go out to eat, or to happy hour. And we need people to stay here, so we’re creating an environment where people want to hang out.”

Belmont Chase is located in the Belmont Executive Center master-planned development in Ashburn, VA., and features the first and only Whole Foods Market in Loudoun County.
