Burger Bach preps for March opening on Durham's Ninth Street

We’re really excited to have Burger Bach join us at Shops at Erwin Mill. The differentiation that New Zealand beef and lamb bring to the gourmet burger world, and to their seafood menu as well, provides another dimension to the discerning Durham food scene. - John Pharr, Senior Vice President of Regency Centers

Burger Bach, a New Zealand-inspired burger restaurant, has set a March 9 opening date for its first Triangle location in Durham's Ninth Street District.

The Durham restaurant will be located at 737 Ninth St. within the new Harris Teeter-anchored Shops at Erwin Mill that Regency Centers (NYSE: REG) built in late 2013.

It will be the third location for the Richmond, Virginia-based Burger Bach, pronounced "batch," which features a menu of gourmet-style burgers and other dishes that use imported, grass-fed beef and lamb from New Zealand. Burger Bach opened its first two locations in Richmond in 2012 and 2013.

Burger Bach also imports its bottled water, Waiwera, and most of its beer, wine and spirits from the Southern Hemisphere.
