Chicken Charlie's started as a fair food vendor in 1996 and opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant, Chicken Charlie's FRYBQ, at Balboa Mesa Shopping Center in October 2014. Owner Charlie Boghosian (pictured above) is known for his will-fry-anything approach and the restaurant has become a staple for food indulgences. Some of its renowned 'top concoctions' include: lobster slipper tails, baby back ribs, chicken and waffles and deep fried oreos.
