Regency Earns Platinum Honor For Wellness Program

For the seventh consecutive year Regency Centers received a First Coast Healthiest Companies Award from Jacksonville’s First Coast Worksite Wellness Council and the Mayor’s Council on Fitness and Well-Being.

As our program has evolved over the years, we’ve earned varying shades of medals including Gold for the first time in 2014. But this year we brought home the highest honor—Platinum—which places us among the elite wellness-focused companies in Northeast Florida.

Human Resource’s Jamie Conroy, Krysta Bonner, Reese Dowell and Tara Sikes attended the May 13th awards luncheon at the University of North Florida.

The award honors companies that demonstrate a serious commitment to employee health by implementing comprehensive worksite health promotion strategies focused on key wellness areas. Our annual health fair, company-paid health screenings, wellness incentive money, Employee Assistance Program, Health Advocate Program, a partnership with Vivarae and many other programs supported by senior leadership are critical to the success of this achievement.

“The primary drivers of our elevation into the Platinum group were our inclusion of spouses into the program and our translation of health screening and assessment results into a comprehensive wellness strategy,” said Jamie Conroy, Director of Human Resources. 2014’s “Water You Drinking?” campaign, an array of educational articles featured on the intranet, and other company-sponsored health challenges have played a part.
