REI Co-Op Celebrates Successful Grand Opening at Regency's Indigo Square

Regency’s Indigo Square in Mount Pleasant, SC recently welcomed REI to the shopping center, with a highly anticipated and wildly successful grand opening event to boot. On opening weekend alone, the store welcomed more than 9,500 people, with nearly 120 customers lined up before the doors opened each morning, and 300 Nalgene bottles given out within the first hour.

The grand opening weekend festivities featured a variety of giveaways, community donations, and activations with local partners including Charleston Coffee Roasters, The Landmark Project, Charleston Waterkeeper, Coastal Expeditions, Outdoor Afro, Charleston Moves, Charleston County Parks, LMMN, Black Girls Run!, Sewee Center, and SCDNR.

National brands in attendance included Adidas, Altra, Arc’teryx, Black Diamond, Brooks Running, Cascade Designs, ENO Hammocks, Gregory Mtn Products, HOKA, Hydro Flask, Kuhl, NEMO Equipment, Nikwax, Oboz Footwear, Osprey, Puffin Drinkwear, and Sea to Summit.
