Willows Shopping Center Hosts Virtual 'DiGi Dance Fest 2020' Event

Written by Regency Centers | Jul 1

Last month Regency’s Willows Shopping Center facilitated a successful live stream event by the name of “DiGi Dance Fest 2020.” In partnership with the Greater Concord Greater Chamber of Commerce, the virtual graduation and Father’s Day gathering celebrated the Mt. Diablo, CA area “Grads and Dads” and boasted a turnout of nearly 300 total views during the 3-hour festivities.

The celebration — which was broadcasted across social media and on Concord’s public access three TV channels — also featured several appearances made by Concord locals, including beats by popular local DJ, Andrew Verducci (aka ‘DJ Ducci), and a live chat with Mayor Tim McGallian himself. The mayor also played a personalized video message that was pre-filmed in front of the Willows property, and included a heartfelt proclamation to the class of 2020.

The DiGi Dance Fest 2020 presented a wonderfully fun opportunity for the Willows Shopping Center to celebrate and recognize important milestones such as academic advancement and fatherhood/paternal bonds within our Mt. Diablo community," said Alisa Taggart, Property Marketing Manager. "It also provided a chance to show our community gratitude for their continued patronage of our Willows shops and eateries operating during this unique time. The relationships cultivated due to this joint endeavor were an extra benefit that the Willows needed as well.

Several Willows retailers, including Jamba Juice, participated in the activations by offering day-of deals, resulting in several successful redemptions. Local merchants also teamed up for giveaways, with prizes ranging from gift cards to entry at Six Flags Concord, ATG Escape Rooms, and more.

A renovated power center off Freeway I-680 in the East Bay suburb of Concord, Willows Shopping Center comprises 248,878 SF and is anchored by Old Navy, REI, Panera Bread, UFC Gym, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar and Ulta.
