That's why Cameron Village has joined WakeMed to raise awareness about a woman's risk for heart disease through the LOVE YOUR HEART campaign and the American Heart Association Go Red for Women campaign. The effort spotlights healthy heart messaging with store’s providing information cards for customers and grounds signs encouraging walking posted throughout the Village. Cameron Village encourages women to walk- walking and shopping is a great cardio exercise.
Cameron Village and WakeMed are proud to share this #1 women’s health issue—preventing heart disease; it is more deadly than all forms of cancer. From February 1-14, the Village offers free gifts with shopping purchases in the Village and customers will receive a WakeMed Healthy Heart Certificate. The customer can use this certificate to schedule a free total and HDL cholesterol test and blood pressure check at WakeMed locations.
National Go Red Day is Friday, February 6 and Cameron Village is going red. Stores will turn their windows RED in support. Prize money will be awarded for the “best” windows deemed by a panel of judges. Red fashions, red hearts, Valentines will dress the window red with creativity and individuality.
