McDonald's First Fast-Food Chain to Roll Out National Online Ordering and Payment

During Q4 2017, fast-food giant McDonald's plans to roll out mobile ordering and payment at all of its 14,000 U.S. locations — making it the first major fast-food chain to conquer the feat. No easy task, the move could push McDonald's ahead of competitors Wendy's and Burger King, as it is the first to debut the national mobile ordering.

According to a Business Insider Intelligence report, three years from now in 2020, mobile ordering is expected to be a $38 billion industry, accounting for 10% of all fast-food sales.
