Regency Centers is proud to have been recognized as one of the 2023 Best Places to Work by the Jacksonville Business Journal in the “Large Companies” category and the Atlanta Business Chronicle in the “Small Companies” category.
These annual lists calculate responses from all companies participating in Quantum Workplace’s annual employee engagement survey, accounting for factors such as perks, leadership, office space, culture, and more. A company’s size is determined by the number of employees located in each respective market.
For 60 years, we’ve operated under the philosophy that we are our people. We believe our employees are our greatest asset, fueling our commitment to creating an exceptional company culture and becoming an employer of choice.
Regency Centers strives to instill a work/life balance that empowers our employees to thrive personally and professionally, fostering an environment where everyone can enjoy a successful career while maintaining a fulfilling personal life.
Immediately upon their date of hire, employees receive 23 days of paid time off, along with 11 paid holidays, parental leave, compassion leave, bereavement leave, military leave, and jury duty leave. We also operate under a hybrid work schedule, with modified in-office hours and dedicated work-from-home days to provide more balance and flexibility.
In a recent company-wide survey, 92% of our employees agreed that a diverse workforce is necessary to achieve organizational goals. Aligned with our three-year DEI strategic roadmap, Regency continues to focus on increasing diversity across our organization, enabling our employees to grow and succeed.
As outlined in our 2022 Corporate Responsibility Report, we’re proud that women comprise more than half of our workforce — approximately 60% — with 24% of them in leadership positions. In addition, there was no pay gap in 2022. Our latest pay analysis also confirms that considering relevant factors such as position, tenure, experience, and location, Regency pays its employees fairly and equitably regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender.
In 2022, we launched a new inclusivity program, Coffee30, whereby teams utilize a “coffee break” to engage in non-work-related discussions. This program creates a casual environment for employees to share and support one another, promoting a culture where employees feel they belong and can be themselves.
Regency’s benefit programs focus on total, comprehensive wellness for employees and their families to live well, work well, and be well. Earlier this year, we were recognized by Jacksonville’s First Coast Worksite Wellness Council (FCWWC) as one of the First Coast Healthiest Companies at the Platinum level — the highest level of the award.
In addition to medical, dental, and vision insurance, Regency offers family planning services, including fertility risk assessment, personalized coaching, and care navigation, through Frame Fertility. We also offer virtual physical therapy through Hinge Health and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental health counseling.
Regency also hosts an annual Health Fair, offers biometric screenings, and partners with Virgin Pulse® to provide tools and incentives for employees to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Regency’s 401(k) plan matches 100% on all deferrals up to $5,000 maximum per year and offers an annual profit-sharing contribution.
Full-time employees are offered fully company-paid group term life insurance/AD&D, short and long-term disability insurance, and voluntary benefits, including supplemental life insurance/AD&D, accident insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and identity theft protection. Additionally, Regency offers a variety of pre-tax reimbursement accounts such as Health Savings Accounts (HSA) Fund and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
Regency invests in employee education to broaden learning and development opportunities. After 90 days of employment, employees can receive tuition assistance of up to $5,250 per year for undergraduate studies related to their jobs.
We also reward our employees for their tenure and for recruiting new talent. Employees earn a $1,000 stock reward on their first anniversary, fifth anniversary, and in five-year increments thereafter. Plus, a referral bonus of up to $3,000 is given if a referred friend is hired.
Connecting with our communities is an extension of our people. We actively participate in the communities where we live, work, and play by supporting the causes our employees care about.
Through ouRCommunities, employees can further the causes that are important to them by voting on organizations that make a difference in their communities. The three finalists receive a charitable donation in accordance with their vote counts. Last year’s recipients included Quigley House, Blessings in a Backpack, and Comfort Zone Camp.
Employees can also volunteer up to 52 hours per year on paid company time. In 2022, employees clocked in approximately 1,850 volunteer hours and a record-breaking donation total of $1.5 million for our partnerships with Habitat for Humanity®, United Way®, and YMCA®. This amount includes a dollar-for-dollar corporate match of additional charitable gifts from our employees.
It’s an absolute honor to receive another Best Places to Work award in both Jacksonville and Atlanta,” said Reese Dowell, Senior Manager, Compensation and Benefits. “Regency is committed to providing best-in-class programs that create a healthy and supportive workplace culture. We’re proud to invest in resources that help us design, implement, and measure programs to continually enhance our offerings and ensure Regency Centers remains one of the best places to work, year after year.
