Regency’s Baybrook East development in Houston, TX recently celebrated the grand opening of H-E-B, a supermarket chain boasting more than 340 stores throughout Texas and northeast Mexico. Founded in 1905, H-E-B offers grocery, bakery, produce, floral, meat, and seafood, as well as deli service and a drugstore. No two stores are alike, and the layouts are tailored to the needs of the customers in each community.
H-E-B serves as the anchor for the first phase of Regency’s Baybrook East, a 23-acre shopping center that will include 30,000 SF of retail space and six outparcels along with open-air seating and greenery.
We couldn’t be happier about H-E-B’s successful opening at Baybrook East, and have heard nothing but incredible feedback from the community since the doors opened,” said Rip Reynolds, Senior Leasing Agent. “We look forward to all that Baybrook East will contribute to the surrounding trade areas, and eagerly anticipate the rollout of Phase Two of the development process, which will feature many best-in-class merchants and restaurants.
At 107,000 SF, the new H-E-B offers a broader array of products and services including a meat case, Asian grill, 26 curbside pickup spots, and nutrition services with a team of registered dietitians and culinary experts, who help customers with meal and diet plans.
We’ve been excited about bringing a bigger store to the area,” said Armando Perez, Executive Vice President, H-E-B Houston. "The area continues to expand, the growth in Houston in total continues to outpace most other parts of the state, and the south side of town here in the Bay Area is not an exception.
