Written by Regency Centers | Dec 17

Last week, a brand new Publix location opened its doors at Regency’s Carytown Exchange development in Richmond, VA. The 45,600 SF store hosted a socially distanced grand opening event on Wednesday, December 9th.

Now more than ever, grocery-anchored shopping centers play a key role in helping our local communities thrive. As the flagship Publix in the Carytown area, this development is sure to better serve the community, including driving increased traffic to the community — which will not only benefit Publix, but will greatly support other businesses in the area who need it most.

We are excited to continue our growth across Richmond and bring Publix’s legendary service and quality to Carytown,” said Kim Reynolds, Publix Community Relations Manager, according to nbc12. “We look forward to being active partners in this vibrant community.

The 115,322 SF shopping center was created to reflect Carytown’s local flavor and serve its growing daytime population of well-educated and diverse residents and visitors.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Publix to Carytown Exchange and to the community at-large, especially amidst the holiday season” said Annie Dlugokecki, Leasing Agent. "This is a big step in the shopping center’s development, and we’ve heard nothing but excitement from residents and merchants alike.
