Regency’s Dallas portfolio just got even more delicious, with the recent addition of two exciting food concepts: Piada Italian Street Food at Mockingbird Commons, and D.L. Mack’s at Preston Oaks.
Inspired by a chef’s trip to Rimini, Italy, Piada opened its flagship location in Columbus, Ohio in 2010, and has since expanded to more than 49 locations. Passionate about food and sharing it with others, Piada believes in eating well — even when we need to eat fast. Its open kitchen design invites guests to share in the experience while its chef crafts meals — piadas, pasta bowls, chopped salads, soups and more — to order, and to be enjoyed in the dining room or on the run.
Piada’s grand opening at Mockingbird Commons was heavily attended, with a line down the front of the building until the doors were unlocked,” said Jessi Richards, Regional Property Manager. “Opening day festivities featured an incredible grand prize giveaway of free Piada for a year to the first 25 guests. The build-out looks fantastic, and both our community and neighboring merchants couldn’t be more excited about this new addition to the center.
Nearby at Preston Oaks, D.L. Mack’s — a classic American neighborhood spot by Vandelay Hospitality Group — also held a successful grand opening. The concept’s Chicago-style menu boasts an elevated take on classic American dishes, from starters like deviled eggs, spinach artichoke dip and smoked salmon, to Chicago-style cracker crust pizzas, and specialties like the grilled chicken club sandwich, spicy lumachi pasta, and more. Occupying 3,180 SF, the D.L. Mack’s build-out features reimagined decorative elements from other vintage spaces, including a French 16th century church and a 19th century building in Chicago.
We’re thrilled to welcome these exciting concepts at two of our Dallas-based shopping centers,” said Brian Landru, Senior Leasing Agent. “I’m a big fan of Piada’s ‘chef’s favorite’ piada, and we’ve loved working with Vandelay Hospitality Group to open D.L. Mack's second location, which is the first in the Regency portfolio. Both concepts boast strong community followings, tasty food, and excellent service. They make great additions to their respective centers.
