San Diego's Scripps Ranch Welcomes Nutmeg Bakery & Cafe to the Neighborhood

Written by Regency Centers | Sep 19

Serving up local, organic and sustainable food and sweets, Nutmeg Bakery was founded on the idea that casual food can still be responsible. That’s one of the many reasons we’re excited to welcome them to Scripps Ranch Marketplace in San Diego, CA. The quaint, homegrown, mother/daughter-owned bakery and cafe works with local farmers, sustainably-minded coffee roasters and fishermen to bring local breakfast and lunch flavors to the San Diego community. This will be their second location, following a flagship spot of San Diego’s Sabre Springs Parkway.

From decadent brioche french toast to artisan sandwiches and paninis and an ever-changing brunch menu, the Nutmeg team prides itself on its fresh, seasonal ingredients that cater to every diet and preference, including vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian to gluten and dairy-free. They also set themselves apart from other local bakeries by offering catering services — from tarts and sandwiches to platters and hot appetizers for any occasion.

Occupying 2,350 SF, Nutmeg Bakery joins fellow Scripps Ranch Marketplace retailers including Pressed Juicery, Starbucks, CVS and Bruegger’s Bagels. We are happy to welcome such a locally-minded, sustainably-driven bakery and cafe to the community.
