Written by Regency Centers | Oct 4

Regency Centers is thrilled to welcome sweetgreen to Compo Acres Shopping Center in Westport, CT. Widely known for its crave-worthy seasonal salads and bowls, the crowd-favorite, fast-casual concept is projected to open within the first half of 2024. This will mark the fifth sweetgreen location in the Regency portfolio.

On a mission to build healthier communities by connecting people to real food, sweetgreen's founders — Jonathan Neman, Nicolas Jammet, and Nathaniel Ru — saw an opportunity to create a business where quality was never sacrificed for convenience. In August of 2007, just two months after graduating from Georgetown University (where the idea for sweetgreen was born), the concept opened its flagship in Washington, D.C.

Today, sweetgreen boasts more than 200 locations across approximately 20 U.S. states and territories in more than 144 cities, with no signs of slowing down.

This highly anticipated addition to Compo Acres reinforces Regency's commitment to offering best-in-class dining experiences for our patrons," said Sean Mirkov, Senior Leasing Agent. We are thrilled to welcome sweetgreen to Compo Acres and know it will enhance the already stellar merchant lineup. We look forward to the many years of success of sweetgreen at Compo Acres serving the Westport community.
