JC Penney recently announced the launch of its second Brooklyn-based store. Currently scheduled to open its doors on August 10, the 75,000 SF multi-level building can be found in Brooklyn’s Kings Plaza shopping center. Fashion and beauty lovers alike will enjoy the one-stop shop that also features a full-service, 2,000 SF Sephora.
In addition to a sleek, contemporary aesthetic, shoppers will be greeted by a convenient, dedicated service desk upon arrival, which includes perks like in-store pickup, online return processes and exchanges. The new store will have energy-conserving, eco-friendly additions like high-efficiency HVAC and LED lighting throughout.
Showcasing the brand’s commitment to expansion in high-demand locations, this launch follows in the footsteps of Brooklyn’s first JC Penney store, which opened in 2014 at the Gateway Center, and, according to Executive Vice President and Chief Customer Officer Joe McFarland, has “consistently been one of (the retailer’s) top performers since it opened.”
