Regency Centers is proud to announce that its President and CEO, Lisa Palmer, recently became a signatory for the CEO Action Pledge for Diversity and Inclusion: the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion within the workplace. This important commitment comes as Regency builds on its existing actions of developing a three-year diversity and inclusion strategy.
By taking the pledge — which was created by The CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion — Palmer is now a part of a unique collaborative of more than 1,000 CEOs of the world’s leading companies and organizations. These leaders have agreed to take action to cultivate workplace environments where diverse experiences and perspectives are welcomed, and where employees feel comfortable and empowered to discuss diversity and inclusion. In return for making the pledge, CEO Action will provide Regency with access to resources, including an educational resource library, race & gender self-assessments, and events for sharing and learning, all of which will support Regency’s new initiatives.
At Regency, our most important asset is our people, and we appreciate the value of a diverse and inclusive workforce,” said Lisa Palmer, President & CEO, Regency Centers. “I am proud of the work we have done to encourage this and of the new initiatives we are implementing. Taking the CEO Pledge demonstrates my commitment, along with the entire Regency team, to continue the focus on building an even more diverse and inclusive workplace within Regency.
Regency’s new initiatives will commence shortly, with a keynote presentation on unconscious biases in September. The new initiatives, which also include the strategy and launch of Employee Resource Groups, will complement existing actions and partnerships with organizations such the National Diversity Council.
