Last weekend, Mellody Farm partnered up with Kids Science Labs to host a sold out, family-friendly “Virtual Slime Lab” event. The private online Zoom session, which took place on Saturday, August 8 at 10 a.m., incorporated slime-making ingredients from “science kits,” which were distributed free of charge to the first 100 families who registered for the event, and available for purchase for the remaining 50.
In addition to slime, lab goggles, and polymers that grow a volcano in a cup, the Virtual Slime Lab kits included a number of fun at-home science experiments as well as exclusive offers from various Mellody Farm merchants.
Founded by two engineering dads in 2011 and designed to enable kids to reach their full creative potential, Kids Science Labs combines inspiring learning environments, engaging teachers, and a program that offers real science and engineering that's accessible, fun, and innovative. Through weekly classes, birthdays, camps and field trips, Kids Science Labs has worked with more than 100,000 students between the ages of two and twelve.
The Virtual Slime Lab event was so amazing,” said Valerie Ugolkov, a participating mom. "The kids had an absolute blast and we can’t wait until the next one!
Parker and Chloe absolutely loved the event!,” said Cara Jaye Fernandez, another participating mom. “This was the most engaging Zoom session they’ve ever been a part of!
