Regency's DIY Tailgate Takeout Boxes ft. @itsnothouitsme

Although live sports looks a little different this year, Regency Centers is celebrating this season in a new way with Ultimate Tailgate Takeout: a portfolio-wide initiative created to inspire Regency’s sports-loving community members to design their best at-home tailgate experiences. Over the coming weeks, we'll continue to share the unique #rctailgatetakeout experiences of participants from coast-to-coast, including team-inspired treats and beverages to gift baskets, decor and more!

Football season is here! While we can't tailgate or host game watch parties like usual, there are still plenty of ways to get into the spirit. I recently visited Regency's Woodway Collection shopping center to build "Tailgate Takeout" boxes for my friends in preparation for the upcoming season!

I filled my gift baskets with local Texas beer, glass bottle root beer, and sweet and salty snacks. Bottling popcorn in mason jars added a fun touch! I also decorated everything with ribbons in our team colors and dropped them off on friends' doorsteps so we can cheer on the Texans together.

DIY TAILGATE TAKEOUT BOXES:

Who doesn't love a custom box full of surprises?! Join in on the fun by creating your own team-themed party box using the items suggestions below. Then, deliver your boxes to friends or family and cheer on your home (or away) team together, but apart!

1. Containers: From baskets to birthday sports-themed bags, make sure your box is durable enough to hold your selected gift items.
   
   
2. Team Colors: Enhance your box with touches of your favorite team colors. Add flowers, confetti, balloons, cups, or simply fill with items based on the team's color palette.
   
   
3. Personalized Items: There's nothing more personal than including items that can only be found in your city or local grocery store. Whether it’s Trader Joe's infamous cookie butter, TX BBQ Sauce, or even a hometown brew, include these items to make the package feel ‘custom.’
   
   
4. Delivery Notes: Make sure you include a delivery note in your package. We suggest using #RCTailgateTakeout so you can share your creations and memories with Regency Centers, too!
