In today’s current climate of rising wages, lower unemployment and strengthened consumer confidence, heightened levels of spending are projected overall for this holiday season. Taking the Thanksgiving/Black Friday shopping rush into account, and with Christmas around the corner, there are quite a few brands in the retail world who are expected to come out on top with sales in 2018. According to the Wall Street Journal, companies taking the lead lead include Target, Walmart, Lowe’s, Macy’s and Best Buy.
After making some recent moves to improve its margins and update its inventory management, shoppers are flocking to Macy’s — another underestimated, but highly successful, retail operation during the holiday season. And last — but certainly not least — is Best Buy, which continues to lead the charge for the physical retail fight against Amazon. Boasting storefronts that double as warehouses results in speedy shipping times and in-store purchases. Tech-savvy Best Buy shoppers are able to gain the shopping experience they can’t find online.
