Regency Embraces Fall with Events and Partnerships from Coast to Coast

Written by Regency Centers | Nov 16

As the leaves turned and the temperatures dropped, Regency Centers bid farewell to the summer and ushered in the autumn season with a variety of fall events, installations, and partnerships at its shopping centers from coast to coast.

The Crossing Clarendon (Arlington, VA)

Fall Loopalooza

After a successful summer event, Loopalooza returned to Regency’s The Crossing Clarendon in the fall. The day began with a children’s storytime session hosted by Barnes & Noble. Afterward, shoppers explored a vendor market with more than 24 vendors, two food trucks, and a bar truck serving mocktails and hot cider. The event also featured live music, face painting, new lawn games, and photo opportunities at various art installations.

Village District (Raleigh, NC)

Falling for Village District

Regency’s Village District created an Instagrammable moment with a floral installation featuring colorful flowers, pumpkins, and a swing bench.

Live & Local Patio Series

Throughout September, Village District held a three-part patio series showcasing local musicians and vendors. The events featured free outdoor yoga classes from CorePower Yoga, services from Restore Hyper Wellness, and live music from Mellonbelly.

BOO-ze Halloween Wine Walk

On Friday, October 13, Village District got into the spooky spirit at the BOO-ze Halloween Wine Walk, a festive sip-and-stroll benefitting Frankie Lemmon School and Development Center. Shoppers were invited to dress in their best costumes, sip wine and apple cider, trick-or-treat at participating stores, and shop scary good deals — all for a good cause. Ticket sales resulted in more than $3,200 raised for the organization.

Ballard Blocks (Seattle, WA)

We Love Our Neighbors Food Drive

In November, Regency’s Ballard Blocks shopping center hosted its third annual We Love Our Neighbors food drive, a community donation drive supporting local families in need through Ballard Food Bank. Additional partners included Sustainable Ballard, The Bridge Care Center, Seattle Dogs Homeless Program, and Seattle Cathedral

With an unprecedented 1,500 pounds of non-perishable food collected, this year’s donations nearly doubled from 2022, setting a new campaign record. In addition, Regency Centers proudly contributed $2,500 to Ballard Food Bank toward the purchase of holiday turkeys.

Diwali Celebration

In honor of Diwali, a five-day festival of lights celebrated throughout India, Regency’s Grand Ridge Plaza was illuminated with lights from November 12 through 14. The shopping center teamed up with Seattle content creator @EspressoAndMartini to promote Diwali in the community through a special Instagram giveaway. The lucky winner received a $250 gift card to enjoy at Flavor of India Bar & Grill.

Mellody Farm (Vernon Hills, IL)

Diwali Celebration

Regency’s Mellody Farm was glowing beneath its holiday lights as it joined the Diwali celebrations. Traditionally observed over five days, Diwali kicks off with Dhanteras, a day dedicated to prosperity — and considered one of the luckiest and best times to shop. Mellody Farm partnered with local content creator Jyoti Chand (@MamaJotes) to create a helpful gift guide for shoppers while promoting the opening of the center’s new J.Crew Factory.
