Regency Kicks Off the Summer With Events Along the East Coast

At Regency Centers, we’re all about fostering meaningful connections within the community. We go the extra mile by regularly hosting special events and activations at our shopping centers, creating unique touch points between our retailers and their shoppers in fun, vibrant atmospheres. Through these carefully curated events, our centers become more than just places to shop; they become dynamic hubs where memories are made and lasting relationships are forged.

Loopalooza at The Crossing Clarendon (Arlington, VA)

Regency’s The Crossing Clarendon hosted Loopalooza, a free event featuring a vibrant mix of food, vendors, and activities. The event kicked off with a yoga class led by Life Time Fitness, which is coming soon to The Crossing, followed by a children’s storytime session led by Barnes & Noble at the Loop Playground. “Yappy Hour” was held from 3 to 5 p.m. with live music, drinks, complimentary oysters from Seamore’s — and lots of furry friends, of course. The event also included a vendor market, flower truck, and caricature artist.

Amazon Fresh Summer Cookout at Point 50 (Fairfax, VA)

Last weekend, Amazon Fresh hosted a grilling event at Regency’s Point 50 shopping center in Fairfax, Virginia. In addition to serving up “fresh” summer favorites like burgers and watermelon, they also held giveaways for kitchen staples like reusable metal straws, storage bags, and a cutting board.

Sounds of Summer at Blakeney Town Center (Charlotte, NC)

Residents of Charlotte, North Carolina, have enjoyed free live music at Sounds of Summer, a six-week concert series hosted at Regency’s Blakeney Town Center. Featuring local musicians, pop-up vendors, and activities for kids, Sounds of Summer will occur from 7 to 9 p.m. every Saturday through July 8. Artists have included the likes of SOULWATT, HC Oakes Band, Stella Rising, and The Tim Cook Band.

These events serve as the cornerstone of our community-focused approach, setting Regency Centers apart from other shopping destinations,” said Anne Stephens, Property Marketing Manager. “By hosting unique and immersive experiences, we not only attract a diverse range of visitors but also provide our retailers with invaluable opportunities to connect with their customers on a deeper level.

Recognizing the transformative impact of special events and activations, Regency goes beyond the traditional retail experience. We elevate our shopping centers into vibrant hubs of activity and connection, continuing to redefine their role as truly exceptional destinations that leave a lasting impression on all who visit.
