Last week, Regency’s Market Common Clarendon partnered up with Inova Blood Donor Services to host a socially-distanced blood drive at the Arlington, VA-based shopping center. The Blood Donor Services Mobile — which is nearly as large as a greyhound bus — set up shop The Loop for the donation appointments, which were all pre-scheduled with advanced sign-ups.
Headquartered in Sterling, VA, Inova’s main purpose is to provide a safe and adequate blood supply for patients in the diverse community it serves. With support from blood, double red cell, platelet and plasma donors as well as volunteers, sponsors and national partners, Inova is able to donate more than 200 units of blood and blood components daily.
It was our pleasure to host last week’s Inova Blood Drive at Market Common Clarendon,” said Hilary Shure, Marketing and Events Manager. “Being able to do our part to help give back in our community — especially during these unique times — is what it’s all about. We look forward to future opportunities to host blood drives with Inova and encourage everyone to give blood if they’re able to.
In addition to their generous donations, participants of the blood drive were also tested for the COVID-19 antibody as part of the regulated process, with contact tracing services in place for utmost safety.
An iconic 10-acre hub just steps from the metro on one of the best shopping streets in Arlington, Market Common Clarendon is anchored by a host of key retailers including Whole Foods, Pottery Barn, Barnes & Noble, Apple, Lululemon and SoulCycle, etc.
