Market Common Clarendon Supports Local Hospital with Light-Up Installation

This holiday season, Children’s National Hospital is bringing joy and healing to its patients and families in a new way, and Market Common Clarendon in Arlington, VA is a proud participant. The Show Them You Care, Light Up Dr. Bear initiative began the week of November 19 and will run through December 31, during which donations to the hospital will help light up hundreds of bear installations modeled after the hospital’s iconic mascot, Dr. Bear. Installations can be found at Children’s National’s main hospital as well as businesses around the D.C., Virginia and Maryland region, including Market Common Clarendon.

Hilary Shure HeadshotMarket Common Clarendon is proud to support this movement this holiday season,” said Hilary Shure, Marketing and Events Manager. “Many of our Market Common Clarendon customers are parents whose children attend our on-site programming. We want to help ensure our community has what it needs should anyone's children become ill — and we want to brighten our community’s day when they visit us this season, too.

In addition to putting a smile on the faces of children in need this season, donations toward the Dr. Bear initiative will provide critical funds for hospital research — including developing new therapies and cures and providing specialized equipment designed for children — while helping to ensure that each child can continue to receive exceptional care, regardless of their insurance or ability to pay.
