Tampa's Bloomingdale Square Completes Four-Year Redevelopment

New year, new resolutions, new renovations! To kick off 2020, Regency’s Bloomingdale Square is revealing its recent redevelopment efforts to the community. Driven by the Walmart vacating the property making, and giving way to a new and improved Publix Super Markets location, the shopping center underwent a substantial makeover in an effort to correct traffic issues, create signalized intersections, and welcome two new anchors.

After nearly four years of redevelopment, Bloomingdale Square is home to three anchors: Publix, Publix Liquors and Home Centric, a home goods and decor branch of Bealls Inc. Regency also worked with renowned Tampa architecture firm, api(+), to re-brand the development with a modern, industrial aesthetic to better compliment its vibrant mix of merchants and retailers and enhance foot traffic.

Marc Elias HeadshotDuring my very first day on the job at Regency Centers, my first assignment was to look at all of the existing leases and help determine the feasibility of the redevelopment," said Marc Elias, Senior Leasing Agent. "Then Walmart left about a year later, and we were off to the races. We're thrilled for the Bloomingdale and Tampa/Brandon community to see how far this project has come.
