We’re raising a glass to Postino WineCafé, a wine bar, restaurant, and the newest addition to the merchant lineup at Regency’s Village District. This dynamic, market-first concept comes on the heels of the center’s 75th anniversary and brings the property to 99% leased.
The restaurant offers a seasonal selection of delicious boutique and proprietary wines, craft beers, and specialty cocktails complete with a decked-out menu of bruschetta and crave-worthy shareables.
Postino draws its name from the Italian word for postman — an homage to the former 1940s post office in Phoenix, where the first Postino was born 23 years ago. However, each location is unique to the neighborhood and community in which it lives. North Carolina is the newest home for Postino, with additional storefronts in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, and Texas.
We put an enormous amount of thought and intention around where we open Postino,” said Lauren Bailey, CEO and Co-Founder of Upward Projects. “We really listen to our guests and have been getting a lot of requests to come to North Carolina. When we found this location in Village District that’s been somewhat of a historic landmark in the community, we had to jump.
Postino has become synonymous with serving as the perfect date night spot, host for your everyday happy hour, and gathering space for friends and family to catch up over great food and drink. Other hallmarks include sophisticated mid-century modern furniture sourced from local vintage shops, off-beat found objects and showstopping art installations, rollup garage doors, custom walnut wine walls, and playlists that keep the good times rolling. Village District is a 599,428 SF shopping center serving the Raleigh-Cary market. A neighborhood staple for 75 years and counting, the shopping center boasts over 5.2 million annual visits. Its star-studded merchant lineup includes The Fresh Market, Walgreens, Sephora, and Crunch Fitness.
